The four C's of diamonds are easy to identify: Carat, Cut, Color, Clarity. The four C's of a brand? Maybe not so much. Here, we ask Pietra's jewelry designers to tell us what makes up their four C's: who is their dream celebrity? What is a common trait of all their amazing clients? What is the most prized piece from their collection, and what is unique about their craft.
Meeting Emily Satloff is like meeting the nicest know-it-all you've ever met. She's seemingly an expert at all things jewelry related: whether it's history, facts about stones, or technique. And that's what makes buying her pieces so special. Not only do you leave with something eye catching, and extremely colorful, but you leave with an item that tells a story. Here, Emily shares Larskpur and Hawk's Four C's.
CELEBRITY
I was so excited to learn Helena Bonham Carter was a fan this past year! I have been a fan of hers since "A Room with a View." I was lucky enough to meet her in NYC this past spring and a fun fact she shared is that she'll be wearing Larkspur & Hawk in the next season of the "Crown" (she'll be portraying Princess Margaret).
CLIENT
Love of color!
COLLECTION
My Sadie multi-crazy quilt rivière featuring pink, red, blue, green and gray foils. Riviére is the french word that literally means a river of stones.
CRAFT
Incorporating historical techniques into modern jewelry. For example, we're known for resurrecting the lost art of foiling from the 18th century to give our jewelry vibrant color.
